I got the idea for a Carputer when I first decided that the stock sound in my new STi left much to be desired. When I started checking around at aftermarket radios, I found I was constantly disappointed in my choices. Each had neat features, but no one unit could do everything I wanted.

That's when I stumbled across www.mp3car.com. And I decided I knew what had to be done...
The basic idea was to replace the stock radio in my car with a fully-integrated windows machine in order to accomplish the following:
